Encouragement prizes

The Royal Dutch 'Facultatieve' is proponent of as wide range of choices as possible between burial and cremation. This requires that next of kin are also given a wide range of options for where to lay the ashes at a cemetery as an alternative to burial. To promote this principle, the Facultatieve has been awarding encouragement prizes from 1997 until 2004 to participating cemeteries.

The following cemeteries have been so successful in creating a greater number of options for laying ashes, that they have qualified for the Royal Facultatieve’s Encouragement Prize.
